Product Description
Picomag is a compact electromagnetic flowmeter that simultaneously measures flow, temperature and conductivity. The device is suited for applications in secondary circuits with conductive liquids, and the bidirectional measuring principle is virtually independent of pressure, density, temperature and viscosity. Wireless connection to the SmartBlue app over Bluetooth® ensures fast and easy plug-and-play commissioning , operation and maintenance.

Questions & answers
The design of Picomag is not hygienic: there is a gap between the internal pipe and the process connection which makes it unusable for hygienic application. Tri-Clamp is offered for fast mounting/dismounting only.

The appropriate gasket must be selected on the basis of the respective process. FKM is generally considered to be of higher quality. EPDM offers additional resistance to hot water and steam, which is why it can be advantageous for the food and beverage industry.
Picomag is normally used for water or water mix applications. Particles could lead to a measurement deviation or, in the worst case, to the destruction of the measuring device. For such application, please refer to Proline 10 devices
For IO-Link, the maximum cable length is 20m.
